Bridging Practice and Research in Bowen Therapy: Insights from a Pregnancy-Related Case Study

This presentation explores the treatment of pregnancy-related pubic symphysis diastasis using Bowen therapy, framed within a broader discussion on how clinicians can contribute to the development of stronger research practices. Using a single clinical case as a starting point, it offers practical insights into how evidence can be generated within everyday practice—without the need for large-scale research resources.

About Ozana Pope-Gajić

Ozana Pope-Gajić is a physiotherapist, educator, and certified Bowen instructor with 30 years of professional experience. She has worked extensively in clinical and teaching environments and is the author of the textbook “Healing Through Movement”. Her work reflects a deep curiosity about the body’s ability to restore balance when supported with the right tools and techniques.
Inspired by her extensive experience in paediatrics and women’s health, she created a one-day workshop designed to help Bowen therapists deepen their skills in working with pregnant women, newborns, and children.
