Bridging Practice and Research in Bowen Therapy: Insights from a Pregnancy-Related Case Study

This presentation explores the treatment of pregnancy-related pubic symphysis diastasis using Bowen therapy, framed within a broader discussion on how clinicians can contribute to the development of stronger research practices. Using a single clinical case as a starting point, it offers practical insights into how evidence can be generated within everyday practice—without the need for large-scale research resources.

Ozana is not only the pioneering force behind bringing Bowen to Croatia, where they currently have over 300 therapists who have completed Bowen training, but will be the host for the 2026 Bowen Conference "Celebrating Bowen Therapy An international Conference for ALL bowen Therapists" 23-24th May 2026 with all-star speakers such as Romney Smeeton, Graham and Kate Pennington, Paula Esson, John Wilks and many more Ozana and I talk about her "love at first touch" for Bowen and how she shifted away from traditional physio work to use an almost exclusive Bowen technique based approach. How this led on to the establishment of the Bowen School in Croatia, which celebrated its 18th year this year. How working with Graham Pennington's IOS model changed her work even further and has been inspiring other physios to take up the Bowen banner. Plus, we talk more about the Zagreb 2026 conference and the importance of bringing the voices of Bowen together to work in a more unified manner so that we can help the world benefit more from the wonder that is the Bowen Technique.
