Behavior of the Water Molecules Inside of the Fascia During the Bowen Treatment
This intervention explores the biophysical behavior of water molecules within the fascial matrix during the application of the Bowen Technique, a neuromyofascial manual therapy. Through precise mechanical stimulation of specific anatomical points, the technique induces oscillatory movements in the extracellular matrix, promoting a dynamic reorganization of interstitial water. This process modulates the viscoelastic properties of fascia, enhances mechanotransduction pathways, and facilitates the activation of hydration-dependent signaling cascades. Clinically, such modulation is associated with improved tissue pliability, reduced nociceptive input, and accelerated functional recovery.
